Once Upon a Time in Wiltshire...
Our next event now has a confirmed date: Saturday 28 January 2012.
This is our 1 day, 600 point, 7 game bonanza (yes I'm trying for Western tie-ins here). Each game will be a shoot-out with your opponent and the quickest on the draw is likely to win.
I'll stop now.
Tickets will be available from 5th November and are priced at £13 for the day including lunch. Rules Pack will be uploaded on the 5th as well assuming no spelling mistakes are found...
We've worked it out so that you get 55 minutes per game and 20 minutes rest in between. Going to be a very busy day. You'll need a Fistful of Dice. So if you've always fancied starting a new army and starting small then this is the event for you. Come on over to Wiltshire and join our Posse.
Oh dear. Sorry.

MAD has been...and gone!
And what a day it was too.
We started off with 60 doughnuts and finished it with 4: a superb result I think you'll agree. Oh the Event? Ah yes now that was a cracker.
It's at this point that I have to admit to taking my camera and then completely forgetting to take it out of the bag once I got caught up in the day. I know some cameras were in attendance so will try to track down some shots.
The hall looked splendid with 20 tables and 40 players all raring to go once Steve from Triple had carried out his safety briefing. We had representatives from most of the Codex although notable by their abscence were Black Templars, Daemons, Tau and Sisters. Maybe next time eh?
Everyone played in a superbly relaxed manner and we only had a few genuine rules queries to contend with all day. A special thanks to all the players for the manner in which they approached this non-rankings (there's an argument for another day) event.
So the results?
Winner: Kevin Sharpes (Grey Knights)
Runner-Up: Steve Pearce (Chaos Marines)
Third: Simon Priddis (Orks)
Best Army: Darren Ivey (Tyranids)
Most Sporting: Andy Barnett (Imperial Guard)
Thanks to Charlotte for the chilli, for everyone at Triple for their hospitality and for the event team for their invaluable help setting up and running the event. Nicely done everyone.
On to the next one :-)

Ticket Available for MAD!
As always player movement is fluid for events and we have a ticket going spare for MAD on 22nd October.
3 games. 1800 points. 40K. No Triple Spamming of units.
If you want the ticket then please contact me immediately on vonjenk@ntlworld.com
Elsewhere preparations are pretty much done. Army Lists are streaming in now and all looking very nice: be good to see some of the rarer units like Flash Gitz, Penal Legion and Rough Riders. All getting very exciting now with only a week and half to go...
